AO Impact announces four new funded projects
AO Impact, the philanthropic arm of the American Outlaws, is excited to announce the second round of funded projects. Four nonprofit organizations – all of which aim to improve the lives of local youth through soccer – will benefit from a combined $20,000 raised by AO member pledges and donations from Continental Tire and other generous sources.

“In just one year, we’ve already made an incredible impact on several communities – but this was always just the beginning,” said Justin Brunken, AO co-founder and president. “We’re proud to help even more organizations change lives in their communities by using the game we all love.” The four partner organizations include: Boston Scores, in partnership with AO Boston: Boston Scores helps youth build life skills and character through soccer and team-based enrichment programs. AO Impact funds will benefit their high school program, promoting social and emotional health through soccer, and position youth for success after graduation through college and career exploration. Guys and Girls Operating as Leaders (GOAL), in partnership with AO Dallas: GOAL nurtures leadership qualities and social responsibility among second language learners and at-risk students by promoting mental, emotional and physical wellness. AO Impact funds will support GOAL’s scholarship program, which will be presented at the GOAL Cup on May 14th. GOAL is also the March/April 2022 recipient of AO Impact’s “Buy One, Donate One” soccer ball program. South Bronx United, in partnership with AO Bronx and other NYC area chapters: SBU helps youth build character, teamwork and leadership skills so they can succeed in school and in their community. AO Impact funds will help build a multipurpose play area. Urban Initiatives, in partnership with AO Chicago: Urban Initiative uses the power of sport and play to empower Chicago’s youth to achieve academic success, develop social-emotional skills, and build social capital. AO Impact funds will focus on their Elementary School Program, which works to change children’s attitudes and behaviors toward healthy eating and physical activity. To date, AO Impact has raised more than $75,000, benefitting not just the first and second rounds of funded projects, but other causes, including travel funds for the U.S. Deaf Women’s and Men’s National Teams.
