Upcoming USMNT Schedule and path to the World Cup
2021 and 2022 are shaping up to be HUGE years for U.S. soccer—and the American Outlaws, too. We expect some of our qualifying fixtures—and maybe some friendlies, too?—to be set in the coming weeks, so stay tuned for updates. If there’s a game, we will be there.
Note: Are you wondering, “What about the Women’s National Team?” We are, too. Aside from the Summer Olympics—they’ve already qualified—we expect plenty of matches for 2021 that’ll show the world we’re still #1.
The Hex is no more. Welcome to… THE OCTAGON. ————————————

UPDATE:  AFTER THE DRAW - WORLD CUP QUALIFYING SCHEDULE IS SET

We'll keep you posted as soon as we know more. But rest assured, we'll be in the stands – where and when it's safe. We can't wait, we miss you, #weloveya.
The Octagon  we're coming for you.
———————————— You might have read last week that CONCACAF has updated the format for qualifying for the 2022 FIFA World Cup – the last to feature 32 teams before we welcome 48 of ‘em to North America in 2026. To sum it up, instead of six teams vying for three automatic bids, the final round will include eight teams vying for those three bids – the team to finish fourth will go to a playoff against a country likely from Asia or South America. That means more games on our calendar – four qualifiers next June alone. That’s on top of the Gold Cup. And the Olympics (the women already booked their ticket to Tokyo – our U-23 male team will attempt to qualify at a date TBD). And the final two rounds of the Nations League! We’re still waiting for more specifics, but it’s looking like 2021 – and early 2022, for that matter – is going to be a beast. And we’re going to need all hands on deck to cheer our teams on to victory. Will it be safe to be in the stands? By then, we sure as heck hope so. In the meantime, we’re gonna start planning. Stay tuned.
