American Outlaws/U.S. Soccer Annual Meeting 2020
American Outlaws leaders traveled to Soccer House in Chicago for their annual meeting with key leaders of U.S. Soccer. There, we were presented with U.S. Soccer’s 2020 goals and objectives, and we discussed logistics and ways to collaborate for this upcoming year. In addition, we took some of your concerns to the table to help elevate your voices. Here are some of the main takeaways from that meeting.
In Stadium
- Goal: To have a tifo/display at every match in 2020 (when appropriate)
- Working on streamlining chants, make learning them a priority
- Will work with US Soccer on creating pre-game traditions and getting more fans involved
SheBelieves Summit 2020
- SheBelieves Summit - Convenes March 14th, Chicago
- College-aged chapter leaders and members are encouraged to attend if available
- International Women’s Day - March 8th
AO/USSF Leadership Interviews
- Brian McBride - TBD
- Kate Markgraf and Vlatko Andonovski - February 8th
- Will continue to schedule interviews with top U.S. Soccer officials throughout the year
Communication & Access
- Will work with U.S. Soccer to provide opportunities to fans for attending events
- Social media already providing inside look at January Camp and WNT training
Tickets
- Discussed ticket prices and perks for members
- Goal is to increase affordability for all fans to attend national team matches
- Potential options around the Hex for fans interested in attending multiple matches
