2020 January camp & roster

BERHALTER BRINGS IN A YOUTHFUL CAMP

The January Camp is a time for players to make their mark and leave an impression as they kick off their international career. It is great to see some of the new players come in and work with some that have many caps under them. This year, 12 players called in have 1 cap or are uncapped, and many of them are exciting prospects like Paxton Pomykal, Uly Llanez, Jesus Ferreira, and Bryang Kayo. It is definitely a chance to see a mostly U-23 squad with a lot of promise.

This year, January Camp will begin in Qatar as the team travels to become accustomed to the logistics, weather, and unfamiliar surroundings of the place where the 2022 World Cup will be held. There’s also a rumor that the USMNT will have a closed-door scrimmage against Red Bull Salzburg while they are there. https://www.starsandstripesfc.com/usmnt-friendly/2020/1/2/21046930/report-usa-usmnt-red-bull-salzburg-friendly-closed-door-scrimmage-jesse-marsch

UPDATE: The Qatar camp has been cancelled due to the developing situation in the region. The #USMNT will now open its annual January Camp on Jan. 6 at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla. There may be a 2nd game stateside.

USMNT vs. Costa Rica on February 1

The January Camp will conclude for the USMNT when they face Costa Rica on February 1st at 3:55 pm ET at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, CA. AO Tickets are available and only $28 for members
