The members of the American Outlaws St. Louis Chapter once again joined forces with the St. Louligans to brighten the holidays for less fortunate members of their community.
Gathered Dec. 8 for their annual holiday party at Amsterdam Tavern, members collected nearly 80 toys and $50 for Epworth Children & Family Services. Founded to care for Civil War orphans, the nonprofit organization continues to help abused and neglected children overcome emotional and behavioral challenges.
AO and the St. Louligans – many members belong to each group – choose a different charity to help each holiday season, said Malia Dunbar, chapter president.
“We give back to our community by focusing on local organizations,” she said. “We let them know if they need anything from us, we’re here for them.”
Dunbar extended her gratitude to everyone involved, including Recruitment Coordinator Kevin Marshall, who took lead on the donation drive.
