Announcing the 2017, 10th Anniversary, Membership Shirt!
Join the American Outlaws
On September 9th, 2007 fifty or so fans boarded a bus from Lincoln, Nebraska en route to Chicago. Their destination? An international friendly between the United States men’s national team and Brazil at Soldier Field. The American Outlaws were born.
Only slightly earlier a royal blue shirt was slapped together for those on the trip. They would make a cameo on TV (at the 1:16 mark here) after the USMNT opened the scoring (a Landon Donovan corner headed on frame by Carlos Bocanegra) marking the first of many, many euphoric AO celebrations behind the goal.
Ten years later, this group, founded by friends Korey Donahoo and Justin Brunken, are the largest supporters group in the nation with over 30,000 members. First as a supporters group for the men’s national team domestically AO now travels to every international men’s match including organizing support for them at the 2010 in South Africa and 2014 World Cup in Brazil (with plans for 2018 in Russia as well). In 2013 AO began supporting the women’s national team (and now have a section at every match) and brought thousands of members to support their 2015 Women’s World Cup winning campaign in Canada (with plans for 2019 in France as well). AO has also appeared at youth national team matches including the U23 Olympics Qualifying campaigns and the U17 Nike International Friendlies in Florida.

To honor our roots we’re bringing back the royal blue shirt that we sported in our first two years.
Ten stars adorn the top of the shirt for each of our ten years of “pride, loyalty, and belief” just above the ball and crossbones logo of AO.
Also back is the background eagle with a very significant change. The 2017 eagle looks both left and right; back on our ten years of existence plus over 100 years of U.S. Soccer history and forward towards the future… full of endless possibilities for our national teams.

A membership in the American Outlaws is more than just a t-shirt and a bandana. It’s also access to tickets, #AOAway packages, travel deals, and retail discounts. Most importantly it is an opportunity to belong in our diverse and inclusive #AOFamily behind the goal (“This Land is Our Land”), at our events and in our chapters bars to help build soccer in this country with globally respected team and supporters’ culture.
In ten years the American Outlaws have supported every team, every time, everywhere and we plan on continuing to “unite and strengthen” for them for decades to come.
