Seems as though it’s been ages since we beat Mexico again (guess the score) in San Antonio in April… but truth is, it’s only been 50 days. But as they say, time flies when you’re on top. Another HUGE summer for U.S. Soccer for all the teams. Men, women, and youth teams all have massive tournaments. For the men, our focus is primarily on the Gold Cup after a couple friendlies against Holland, Germany, and finally Guatemala. First, we #concentrate on the Dutch. The men in Orange finished third in the World Cup last summer, after some impressive wins against Spain and Brazil. You could spend hours listing their achievements and players, but the bottom line is this: they’re damn good. But there is no need to fret, AO…. We’ve got Aron freaking #Johannnsson. Baby AJ has been electric for AZ lately, and will surely feature up top in Jozy’s absence (☹) after he picked up a hamstring injury playing for Toronto. Bradley looked good against Mexico, and it will be interesting to see his link up with Danny Williams again(presumably) against a tough Dutch mid-field. Agudelo has looked good for club and country, and will likely get at least a cameo on Friday.
