The USMNT takes on Switzerland in Zurich on Friday after losing late to Denmark last Wednesday. The US gained the lead through Aron Johansson and Jozy Altidore scored on either side of half time, only for Niklas Bendter completed his hat trick late on and taking the Nats to the dark side once again. This is what happens when you punch your keyboard -> 8hujt

On to Zurich, where the boys continue their journey of tough tests ahead of the 2015 Gold Cup. Who could forget the Swiss nearly knocking Argentina out of the World Cup last summer? Lionel Messi scored in the 118th minute to send the Swiss home. A late point-blank header should have taken the game to penalties but was squandered embarrassingly.

Last time these two teams met in 2007, a full-head-of-hair Michael Bradley flicked in an 86th minute goal in Basel to give the Yanks a surprise win (https://youtu.be/cILbf5_DKNM). That was almost 8 years ago (Time flies when you’re winning Gold Cups J). The hosts are now ranked 12th according to the always-accurate FIFA rankings.

Baby AJ was sent back to his club team after picking up a knock, and Jordan Morris joins from the U-23’s. Here’s the full roster: GK: Cody Cropper (Southampton), Nick Rimando (Real Salt Lake), William Yarbrough (Club León) DEF: Ventura Alvarado (Club America), John Brooks (Hertha Berlin), Timmy Chandler (Eintracht Frankfurt), Greg Garza (Club Tijuana), Michael Orozco (Puebla), Tim Ream (Bolton Wanderers), Brek Shea (Orlando City SC), DeAndre Yedlin (Tottenham Hotspur) MID: Alejandro Bedoya (Nantes), Michael Bradley (Toronto FC), Julian Green (Hamburg), Miguel Ibarra (Minnesota United FC), Fabian Johnson (Borussia Mönchengladbach), Alfredo Morales (Ingolstadt), Danny Williams (Reading), Gyasi Zardes (LA Galaxy) FOR: Jozy Altidore (Toronto FC), Jordan Morris (Stanford), Rubio Rubin (Utrecht)

It’s definitely time for Jurgen Klinsmann to gain some cohesiveness amongst his back line. The boys have been leaking goals lately, and Klinsi needs to fix this, pronto. Scoring goals doesn’t seem to be the issue.
